What is LoveTest

Technically speaking, LoveTest is a form/CGI application (common gateway interface) combination. The user fills out a form and the cgi calculates the result.

To try the LoveTest, you have to enter your name and the name of your (would-be) partner. You should also select the sex and the zodiac sign of both people. By clicking on "Continue", you are presented 43 questions which you should answer as accurately as possible.

LoveTest calculates a percentage and also gives you a written result. More information about the selected zodiac signs will also be presented.

What should I do if I don't know the answer to a question?

I recommend that you select "Don't know" among the three possible answers. It would be the most accurate answer in this case.

Why do I have to enter the names?

Why do I have to select the sex of both persons?

If you select the sex, the questions will reflect the correct nouns and pronouns. In future this will be even more important as translated versions of LoveTest are in the works.

Is my personal information safe?

Your personal information will not be logged. The CGI stores general information for statistical purposes. Information that is stored includes: the sex, the age and the zodiac sign of both persons as well as the date and the time of when the test was taken.

How long does the LoveTest take to complete?

The LoveTest takes a couple of minutes to complete (I haven't timed it yet). However the result is calculated much faster - the CGI needs about 3 seconds to calculate the result and to return a page to the server. If you are on a slow link to our server, the result might need some time to cross wires.

What do you mean by "do you know Person X"?

Yes, it is true, how are you supposed to know somebody when you even don't know yourself very much. When I ask if you know the other person, then I mean, if you know the name, know the face,... Well, you know. But if you're not sure just select "Don't know".

Are you a psychologist and is this a scientific test?

No, I am not a psycho and the test isn't based on anything scientific. When I was a teenager and at high school (that was a couple of years ago), we used to do this LoveTest. One person would ask all the questions and somebody else would answer them. The answers were noted and at the end you would need 5 to 10 minutes to calculate the result.

As our lunch breaks weren't long enough to fill out more than 2 tests, I decided to write a program that could calculate the results... Some years later, I got on the web and was wondering how I could practize writing CGI's. I remembered the programs which I had written in the old days and started to convert them to a CGI. LoveTest is my first program that was successfully converted to a CGI.

Can I trust the analysis of the zodiac sign?

If you believe in horoscopes and the meaning of zodiac signs, then you can rely on the information given about the zodiac signs. This information was compiled from other web pages and books. So its pretty correct stuff.

Can I trust the results of the LoveTest

I really hope that nobody does anything drastic after reading the results of this test. The test is supposed to be amusing and fun... What do the percentages mean?

The percentages are is the compatibility of the two names based on numerology. We use numerology to analyze the names and then return a percentage based on this. The more complete the names are that you've entered, the more accurate the numerological analysis will be.
